FURTHER INFORMATION AND FAMILY GOSSIP

According to census records for 1891 to 1911 James was a fitter and hydraulic engineer.

Lydia was the daughter of a carpenter/joiner who was running the Neptune public house on Powke Lane in the 1880s whilst two of his daughters (Lydia & Pamela) lived at no. 70 Wrights Lane.

My grandfather, Horace, worked for many years on the railways, especially GWR at Snowhill in Birmingham. He lived, with my grandmother, in the house they had built for them, and paid for by her father, in Compton Road, Cradley Heath.

My great-aunt Millie married Jim Johnson, a tool-maker. Within my living memory they had her mother Lydia living with them at their home in Witley Avenue, Halesowen.
